Eating Out: February 6th, 2011

Admonitions To Self

Remember to ask for microwave-free food - even if the place looks super environmentally-conscious

Ask when your dessert was made even if you’ve had a superb main course

Take Digest&Cleanse caps to go for half-hour to an hour later. Or maybe aim to carry Occotea for unexpectedly sweet treats

Anchoring the Higher Vibration Oils: July 25th, 2010

Here’s something we discovered today… or rather, Janna did, while we were fooling around with the dowsing rod and checking on the expansion and contraction of the auric field with different states and the action of various oils:

If you use a grounding oil — like YL’s Grounding, or Valor, or Cedarwood on the base chakra while applying an oil like Harmony, then we got a huge increase in the energy field. I know that I do use Valor or Cedarwood in the morning before meditation and before the BIG oils, but when I reapply as I need to during the day, I don’t de rigueur, use a Cedarwood-type oil.

Janna had another suggestion about using White Angelica to seal the energy or to ‘protect’… going to check this out another day… might have to do it outside the house because of the increase in diameter…

My Travelling Life: July 2nd, 2010

Have I only been back 12 days? Not even a fortnight?

Cruising around the Mediterranean 14th to the 25th was an amazing experience. It was a first as far as cruises go and the Celebrity Equinox was a pretty WOW experience. The feeling of being rocked on a giant ocean! The endless expanse of deep blue and green sea. The amazing clarity of the sea in this particular area. To add to the magic of all of this — the great conversations with other YL leaders, finding out their secrets for various ailments/situations. The one from Carol Johnson about Exodus 2 being like Thieves on steroids. Being on the cruise ship and far from my usual stringent food fetishes, and dashing into various countries via scanners and x-ray things, had got me under par, and I got such results from filling a vegie cap with the Exodus and down the hatch. I alternated it with half-and-half Oregango and Thieves. Between that and the plentiful supply of NingXia Red I was in a constant state of mild liver detox.

Both my sisters were on the cruise. All of us loving these Essential Oils, I suppose it was only a matter of time. I hadn’t seen my youngest sister Rebecca in about 10 years. She had this great gadget she used with oils and I was a willing subject. I exchanged with some of my techniques.

I needed all my arsenal of oils when we did stop in Rome and I found myself allergic to historical sites. What could have been a serious asthma dwindled to extremely itchy eyes. I was glad to get to the Amalfi Coast. This had to be the most amazing part of our trip. Post YL cruise, it was sheer magic. Everywhere we looked was sea or cliffs or fortress or lemon groves or donkeys or narrow and beautiful cobbled lanes. The appartment we booked meant that we could do our own meals. There is only so much pizza I can handle. Now I am ruined for olives, Roma tomatoes, ricotta. The vegetables were so full of oomph.

The oils I took for this trip were: My collection of Oils of Ancient Scripture (funny that Rebecca brought this as well)… she also brought a whole stack of NingXia Red sachets for all of us… such a mother hen. I took Valor, Abundance, Joy, Lemongrass, Thieves, Purification, Vetiver, Valerian, Scleressence, Myrrh. For our special tonic with the NingXia that we have every morning, we also took: Frankincense, Clove, Copaiba, Occotea. Anytime, we looked to be running low, Hal would freak out. I did get mad at him for going to treat a older lady in Rome who got her foot run over my a motor scooter — because he left the PanAway and Copaiba in the cafe.

Next time, I would also take: Geranium and RutaVala, more Vegie Caps (reminds me–I need to order more), more NingXia sachets, Wintergreen, Marjoram and Cypress. I’d probably leave the 12 Oils of Ancient Scripture at home — though it did come in handy for a couple of friends of mine in LA

Hmm, maybe I could take my Raindrop Oils? I think I need my own airplane

NEXT TRIP: Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in New Mexico in early August.

AIRPORT FULL-BODY SCANNERS DESTROY DNA: February 22nd, 2010

This arrived in my Inbox from a friend — exciting reading just before hopping aboard — tomorrow morning Costa Rica via Los Angeles. I guess I’m going to be packing a few extra oils… like BrainPower to keep a few of those cells intact!

The article can be read at this site >>>>

Extract:

Alexandrov and co have created a model to investigate how THz fields interact with double-stranded DNA and what they’ve found is remarkable. They say that although the forces generated are tiny, resonant effects allow THz waves to unzip double-stranded DNA, creating bubbles in the double strand that could significantly interfere with processes such as gene expression and DNA replication. That’s a jaw dropping conclusion.

Autumn Equinox 09: March 20th, 2009

Time does fly.

I was telling my sister who is flying off to do yet another course tomorrow in Byron Bay (Elements of Man, I think) that this is the first year I feel ready for Autumn.

Been on a gentle detox diet. I was going on a vegetable fast. But I decided to have a aduki beans (soaked overnight and cooked with dulse to make it digestible) as well. And some seeds.

Also, as usual, at first light, I’ll be out walking. Something I learnt years ago, about the quality of light entering the eye as being a ‘primer’ for the oncoming season.

As well, double glutathione patches and double energy — on Kidney and Lung etc.

Plus, Essential Oils. I have been diffusing Palo Santo. And discovered, accidentally, dramatic effects on the anti-snoring front. I’d been using R.C. and other suggestions dabbed under the nose but it had never worked for me. Today, I had a wonderful Shiatsu with Dorothy Douglas (who was on the Queen Vic team) and it sent me into an altered state. She used (or rather, drowned) me in Roman Chamomile. I thought it was Helichrysum but she pointed out that they were both from the Daisy family.

What This Site Is Going To Be Useful For: October 25th, 2008

This intial post can be a repository of all the different subjects that are of interest to me and perhaps to others…

1. Discussions that my therapist and non-therapist friends have about health and wellbeing.

2. Various paths and modalities I am trying out right now and how that is panning out.

3. Pointing to new discoveries and people and experimentations… the latest being my trip to the Mind Body Spirit Festival this weekend.

4. Bemoaning the ‘Power of the Dark Side’ — Western Medicine — for anything that needs more than physical intervention eg., a broken leg!
