RAINDROPS

THIS IS AN AMAZING TECHNIQUE AND WHAT MAKES IT MORE SO IS THAT YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF — contact me, Girija — 0425798428, for further information

Product tip (taken from a YL bulletin)
‘A few months ago, I completed training in Raindrop Technique. Needless to say, it is absolutely remarkable how this technique is. My grandad has worn discs in his neck, and has put up with pain for the past 20 years. I give him Raindrops, but due to my busy work-life schedule, I usually only have time to give him the technique every three weeks. I decided to give him his own Raindrop Technique collection to use in between my visits. My grandma puts one drop between his shoulder blades and feathers it up to his hairline. She continues this with each of the oils, and within ten minutes he is painless—lasting for around one week!’ Cassie Hawkey

Itchy Spots: July 2nd, 2010

So I am religiously going through my email folders and deleting deleting deleting and I come across this formula that I was sent for Hal when he went through a mega itchy rash phase after we went to LA last November. In the end, he had to use the ParaFree that I brought back from the US plus oils. And he never got to use this… but I’ll post it because I was talking to someone who had a mega itchy rash…

My Travelling Life: July 2nd, 2010

Have I only been back 12 days? Not even a fortnight?

Cruising around the Mediterranean 14th to the 25th was an amazing experience. It was a first as far as cruises go and the Celebrity Equinox was a pretty WOW experience. The feeling of being rocked on a giant ocean! The endless expanse of deep blue and green sea. The amazing clarity of the sea in this particular area. To add to the magic of all of this — the great conversations with other YL leaders, finding out their secrets for various ailments/situations. The one from Carol Johnson about Exodus 2 being like Thieves on steroids. Being on the cruise ship and far from my usual stringent food fetishes, and dashing into various countries via scanners and x-ray things, had got me under par, and I got such results from filling a vegie cap with the Exodus and down the hatch. I alternated it with half-and-half Oregango and Thieves. Between that and the plentiful supply of NingXia Red I was in a constant state of mild liver detox.

Both my sisters were on the cruise. All of us loving these Essential Oils, I suppose it was only a matter of time. I hadn’t seen my youngest sister Rebecca in about 10 years. She had this great gadget she used with oils and I was a willing subject. I exchanged with some of my techniques.

I needed all my arsenal of oils when we did stop in Rome and I found myself allergic to historical sites. What could have been a serious asthma dwindled to extremely itchy eyes. I was glad to get to the Amalfi Coast. This had to be the most amazing part of our trip. Post YL cruise, it was sheer magic. Everywhere we looked was sea or cliffs or fortress or lemon groves or donkeys or narrow and beautiful cobbled lanes. The appartment we booked meant that we could do our own meals. There is only so much pizza I can handle. Now I am ruined for olives, Roma tomatoes, ricotta. The vegetables were so full of oomph.

The oils I took for this trip were: My collection of Oils of Ancient Scripture (funny that Rebecca brought this as well)… she also brought a whole stack of NingXia Red sachets for all of us… such a mother hen. I took Valor, Abundance, Joy, Lemongrass, Thieves, Purification, Vetiver, Valerian, Scleressence, Myrrh. For our special tonic with the NingXia that we have every morning, we also took: Frankincense, Clove, Copaiba, Occotea. Anytime, we looked to be running low, Hal would freak out. I did get mad at him for going to treat a older lady in Rome who got her foot run over my a motor scooter — because he left the PanAway and Copaiba in the cafe.

Next time, I would also take: Geranium and RutaVala, more Vegie Caps (reminds me–I need to order more), more NingXia sachets, Wintergreen, Marjoram and Cypress. I’d probably leave the 12 Oils of Ancient Scripture at home — though it did come in handy for a couple of friends of mine in LA

Hmm, maybe I could take my Raindrop Oils? I think I need my own airplane

NEXT TRIP: Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in New Mexico in early August.

Recipes, A MARINADE for Tempeh, A super blend for Herbal TEA: May 2nd, 2010

Been back from Costa awhile but more of that in my next post (its been so super busy I’ve been reduced to making lists). Okay.

MARINADE FOR TEMPEH (I block) (inspired by a lack of Schezuan Pepper in stores closeby)

Soy Sauce, Mirin, Mustard Oil (or your choice… mustard oil is good for pitta types and you could use sesame  instead), 2 drops of Young Living Fennel oil, 2 drops of YL Black Pepper, 1 drop of Cassia (from my 12 Oils of Ancient Scripture), 1 drop of Cinnamon Bark, 1 drop Thieves. Add a touch more salt as needed. Slice Tempeh thinly Marinade overnight.

I grilled the tempeh and it came out crisply enough… inspired by Michelle Soo telling me that 5 Spice and Tempeh were like duck to water (my metaphor… she used some other hand gesture… not a rude one).

CUMQUAT TEA (Have you been wondering what you are going to do with those cumquats in your garden and you aren’t really the making-jam type)

Festivitea Tea (or any other interesting herbal tea — this one contains Peppermint, Melissa, Licorice, Rose Petals, Chamomile, Calendula, Lemongrass & Red Clover). I add, for fun, a combination of other teas like Horsetail for Silica content, and Spearmint or Rooibos. I quarter a cumquat and add it to my tea infill strainer and let it steep. The combination seems to be able to steep forever and not get too strong… if you forget and come back to it later.

AIRPORT FULL-BODY SCANNERS DESTROY DNA: February 22nd, 2010

This arrived in my Inbox from a friend — exciting reading just before hopping aboard — tomorrow morning Costa Rica via Los Angeles. I guess I’m going to be packing a few extra oils… like BrainPower to keep a few of those cells intact!

The article can be read at this site >>>>

Extract:

Alexandrov and co have created a model to investigate how THz fields interact with double-stranded DNA and what they’ve found is remarkable. They say that although the forces generated are tiny, resonant effects allow THz waves to unzip double-stranded DNA, creating bubbles in the double strand that could significantly interfere with processes such as gene expression and DNA replication. That’s a jaw dropping conclusion.

Sacred Chant Retreat / Blue Spirit Retreat with Jonathan Horan: February 20th, 2010

24th Feb, I’ll be winging it over to Los Angeles.

Then, Costa Rica and Sacred Chants with Snatam Kaur

Then the Tribal Five workshop.

I did have a much more detailed posting but it kind of vanished into the ether.

My bags aren’t packed yet, the contents are yet to be washed and dried, and it’s late! And I haven’t even been able to post properly.

Back on 24th March after checking in with Niko who I met during the make of the feature film Nothing Special, and its creator, the fabulous Angela Garcia Coombs

The Suzuki Night Market in January: January 19th, 2010

As expected, January is one of the busiest months. We have to remind ourselves that we can only work on one person at a time! Tonight will probably be extra busy since the weather is just right. And as usual, I am super-prepared, having done my morning Sadhana practice (yoga) and eaten a fairly light brunch, and packed the car except for the oils that I’m mollycoddling till the last moment and then they will go in the car as well.

THE CHICKPEA BRUNCH with GRATED BEETROOT/CARROT

For brunch, I soaked chickpeas last night (as I do with nuts, seeds, grains) and cooked it this morning. Tipped water out and squeezed in some lemon, and salt, a touch of basil oil, and cold-pressed organic olive oil. Took a couple of scoops of chickpea mix and added some grated beetroot and carrot, chopped cucumber, that I’d de-parasitized with Lugol’s iodine, and added a touch of vinegar, and we were good to go.

I’m taking with me a sugarless Banana bread that I begged Hal to make (his secret recipe) for when I’m between treatment sessions. Just before I leave, I will make a protein drink with Powermeal (2 scoops) and NingXia Red (180 ml juice in 200ml water).

I’ve been using Harmony oil blend on all those points on the ear lobes and I might re-apply. Plus a bit of Abundance oil for extra energy, Myrrh oil on the feet and pressure applied by way of a spiky ’sports’ ball such as you might see in a Pilates studio, and my skeletal system feels looked after!

Feb is going to be chocka with workshops and trainings. Email me (details on contact page) for details.

RECIPES with ZUCCHINI, with SMOOTHIES, with OILS: December 25th, 2009

These recipes are posted in honor of Katie and her newborn Xmas baby, Abigail.

THIEVES DELIGHT

1 Ripe Banana, Hazelnut Milk (or Rice Milk or Almond Milk) or combo, scoop of Sheep’s Yogurt, 3–4 drops Theives (Young Living Oil).

Blend. This tastes like a Chai Smoothie. And I liked it best with the Hazelnut milk.

Who would have thought that Thieves oil that can take out my cold/flu symptoms could be so good in cooking.

STUFFED ZUKES

Young zucchinis, soaked walnuts (in water for at least 4 hrs), basil leaves, salt, a good quality parmesan, 2 big scoops of organic cottage cheese with a few drops of Young Living Black Pepper and Mountain Savory oils.

Scoop out flesh. Blend walnuts, basil, salt 9to taste), parmesan, and zuke flesh. Put some dollops of the cheese into the zucchini boats and even out. Mound the zuke-nut paste on top. Bake in a medium oven for about 1/2 hour… or till the tops are spotted with a golden brown.

OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING: November 24th, 2009

Oh What A Beautiful Day!

Tonight is the first night, Wednesday, of the Queen Vic Night Market. I’ve got butterflies… and I don’t believe a whole year has passed since we did it last year. The weather is on our side and we have some new practitioners who are going to be with us on the stall. We will have to show the ropes — what to do when all you lovely people come rushing in at once :)

So here’s the goss:

The Old Hands: ME of course, Essential Oils Black Belt :) specializing in relief of pain, anxiety and promoting deep sleep! What we all need while we are rushing around busy busy busy for Xmas (or not as the case may be).

Dear DOROTHY DOUGLASS, who is putting down her Shiatsu cap, and donning her oils on. Ask her for aid if you are experiencing pain and stress. Dorothy and I have known each other for years (24?) since I attended her shiatsu classes that many years ago… she was one of first shiatsu practitioners and co-founder of one of the colleges.

CLAIRE HEYWOOD, kinesiology practitioner who brings so much more to the table, another old friend (but young in spirit), who is specializing in chakra and DNA healing. Many is the time that I’ve rung Claire and implored her for a distance healing (after Hal broke his neck recently when we were travelling in LA). Needless to say, Hal is fine… only a tiny crick still to work out (oh if we would just consistently use the oils I recommend).

DIANNE SHOOBRIDGE is the way to your tummy. Raw food expert and detox expert. We know each other since forever and she has always been able to whip up something from nothing and make it taste exotic. She will show you how to incorporate Therapeutic Grade Essential oils into food and into healing.

JACK WANAT is the King of the Valor Balance. Let him take your worries away as he applies Valor to your feet to bring the body back into balance and to increase energy. Take advantage of his inexhaustible knowledge on the p’s and q’s of attending to a healthy lifestyle.

NEW ON THE TEAM

MICHELLE SOO — Oh yes, Kinesiology and Oils, and NLP practitioner extraordinaire. All you need is one session with her and your life will turn another corner!

MURRAY GOODCHILD — Japanese Acupunturist, and a damn fine healer who runs workshops on toning for healing. A muscian to boot, he has just released a new CD. Amazing.

(Next Post I’ll have more on new-to-the-stand Oilers, Penny and Justine)

My Nose is Itchy: November 2nd, 2009

Another of those perfect days inspite of all the imperfections like my incredibly itchy nose. There’s something so undignified about an itchy nose. Jelena came over to help me with the possibility of turning my life into a database. We had fun. We even went for a walk after… she made everything seem so simple.

I kept licking the peppermint oil and it usually helps… but what did eventually, was a large salad full of greens. Plus some Myrrh oil slapped around the nostrils.

Also, had another wonderful yoga session at Vicky’s at the Yoga Yurt, a kriya for self-love. Felt so good to do be doing this after a New Agey kind of event that I had been invited to.

Oh — this Wed at my place is the drop-in night for another trance-porting evening with the oils. Topic: Anxiety/Hormones
